Abstract
It has previously been shown that the coronary arteries undergo cyclic flexure, stretching and twisting due to their attachment to the beating heart [3,7,10]. We hypothesize that vein grafts to the coronary arteries also undergo such cyclic motion. Characterizing the heart-induced deformation of coronary artery vein grafts (CAVG) is important in order to study its possible role in their pathogenesis.
