In this paper, three dimensional air flow distributions in typical island platform both with and without PSD (platform screen door) system were simulated for the whole process of the train entering, staying in and departing from the platform. Based on the data obtained from the simulation with and without PSD system, the effects of PSD system on platform air environment were analyzed. At last, both the advantages and disadvantages of PSD system were concluded in view of improving passengers’ comfort and air quality.
